With a reputation for providing highly respected qualifications, Trinity delivers over 500,000 assessments in over 60 countries worldwide.

Music exams designed to nurture musical development at every level

Trinity’s internationally recognised music exams are designed with the flexibility to allow for varied learning and teaching styles. Graded music exams put an emphasis on overall performance and are offered in almost every instrument, covering a wide spectrum of musical styles including classical, popular, jazz and contemporary. An extensive, specifically developed repertoire ranges from traditional choices to more popular and modern pieces, allowing candidates greater flexibility. There are also plenty of options available in the Supporting Tests and Technical Work, enabling candidates to demonstrate their specific talents and skills. There are no prerequisites for Graded music exams, and sight reading is not compulsory up to Grade 5. Expert examiners are fully trained and supported by Trinity and all are music professionals.

Trinity examinations are internationally recognised and fully accredited by Ofqual (the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator) and other education authorities in a number of countries around the world. Grades 6 to 8 are also eligible for UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) points for candidates applying to UK colleges and universities.
