Tim Swingler trained as a teacher and has worked in music education since 1984, setting up the Soundbeam Project in 1990 in collaboration with composer, Edward Williams. He is a founder member of the UK National Community Music Association and has been a regular contributor to the International Society for Music Education (ISME) commission on Music in Special Education, Music Therapy and Music Medicine. He has been chair of the Music Alive! board of trustees and currently sits on the advisory panel on special education for Musical Futures.
Tim is widely published and has run workshops with Soundbeam in more than 20 countries. His recent sessions in Moscow and Tatarstan attracted over 300 delegates.
