Music Services and schools all have Safeguarding Policies. Yet, every year, abusive teachers slip through the net and false accusations are made against teachers; teaching individuals and small groups in unsatisfactory conditions puts instrumental teachers at particular risk.

This session will show how, with a little forethought, good teaching can take place safely AND productively. Find out when to say 'no', and understand your rights and how a good working relationship with Heads of Department and Music Co-ordinators can minimise the risks.
