Using Social Media in the Music Classroom

We all know about different forms of social networking (Facebook, Twitter etc.) and platforms for sharing media (YouTube, Soundcloud etc.) but how can they be used in music teaching? And more importantly – how can they be used safely?

This session will look at imaginative ways of using online sharing and networking with other students, friends and the wider world. The session will also touch on how to remix material from online video and audio and truly interact with the world wide web.
