Sarah Thurstan

Presenting Self with Instrument

Sarah Thurstan founded her company, Performance Link, in 2000. Headed by Sarah, the team provides presentation skills, personal development and coaching to clients.

Sarah's work as an actor allows her to understand how frightening and difficult it is to present – a skill of growing importance in the business and educational world today.

Presenting as a musician requires confidence and understanding of your instrument as well as an awareness of audiences' expectations and how you appear to them.

Clients include The Nichols Group, one of the UK’s leading independent management consultancies, Lancaster University Management School, KPMG, Sellafield Ltd, UBS Bank, AECOM, Zurich, Microsoft, BBC TV and The Environment Council among others.

In recent years, Sarah and her team have delivered Business Theatre - custom-made productions which enliven clients’ annual conferences. Sarah and her team ensure that these events are amusing, witty and challenging to both the client and their customers. These productions have been performed in the National Gallery, the British Museum, Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre and in Washington D.C.

After gaining a degree in Russian, English and French from Clare College, Oxford, Sarah studied at Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. As an actress, Sarah has performed many roles on stage and screen. Her TV work includes Eastenders, Tracey Beaker, Emmerdale, Prime Suspect, Silent Witness, Heartbeat, Casualty, Hollyoaks and A&E as well as Coronation Street, Wycliffe and The Chase. Her stage work includes Gertrude in Hamlet and A Lady of Letters from Talking Heads by Alan Bennett at The Dukes Theatre, Lancaster.
