Richard Morris

Richard Morris was Chief Executive of ABRSM from 1993 to 2009 following a career in law, investment banking and publishing.
He has served on various boards including Hodder and Stoughton, Southern Radio, The Lancet, Kent Opera and as Chairman of the Music Education Council and co-Founder of Almaviva Opera.
He is currently Chairman of Governors at the Yehudi Menuhin School, Vice Chairman of both the GLA Music Education Steering Group and The Mayor of London's Fund for Young Musicians (which he co-founded in 2011) as well as Chairman of the Henri Oguike Dance Company and a Governor of Kent Music.
Richard is a qualified coach and mentor and offers these services to younger people at all stages of their careers.
