Randolph Matthews

Introduction to Vocal Percussion

Randolph Matthews has worked as a session singer, songwriter, performer and vocalist across genres ranging from pop, house and folk music to experimental soul and musical theatre.

As a solo artist, his work fuses vocal percussion, desert blues and world music and he has toured with and supported international artists such as Angelique Kidjo, Omar, Terry Callier, Beverly Knight, Plan B and Gilles Peterson.

Randolph has been working in music education for over ten years in the fields of songwriting, choir facilitation and voice and movement therapy. He teaches and facilitates in many London boroughs mixing voice, dance and ages across a variety of genres. He has worked for ARK schools since 2008.
