Personal Learning Environments in Music Education
George Hess
Almost all information is available to anyone who can type a Google search phrase. With so much information at their fingertips, students (and teachers!) need a way to organise and sort through this material. Rather than focusing on rote memorisation, the key is to for students to learn how to learn.
This session, led by George Hess, will look at using free online tools to create a personalised learning environment that allows students to follow their interests while developing necessary research skills for the digital world.
