In recent years, Howarth have pioneered models of woodwind instruments designed specifically for younger children, including the Mini-Bassoon, Tenoroon, Junior Oboe and, most recently, the Junior Eb Flute, designed in conjunction with Lambeth Music Service for the Soundstart / Musitrax programme.
