Charanga - next-generation online teaching and learning
Mark Burke / Joanna Mangona
Charanga is the technology partner of choice for over 40 newly-formed Music Education Hubs. Charanga is enabling hub partners to use educational technology as a key part of delivering many of the core and extension roles set out in the National Plan.
Charanga enables Hubs to provide all children with access to high-quality online learning for every instrument throughout the period of their first access to instrumental learning and progression beyond. A Charanga-supported programme of CPD and training using Charanga’s inspira® methodology and other digital resources also enables Hub partners to help class teachers to develop the skills and confidence to support Whole Class ensemble teaching in their school and to teach music in the curriculum in a musically ambitious way.
In this lively and entertaining mll session, Mark Burke, Digital Partnerships Director at Charanga, will demonstrate some of the key resources Hubs will be using: Charanga Music World online instrumental learning; interactive ABRSM Music Medals; and Charanga's new Musical School Primary curriculum resource will all feature alongside a report on how Charanga's inspira is transforming Whole Class ensemble teaching two years after its launch.
