Ben Schögler worked at the Institute for Music in Human and Social Development and the Department of Psychology at the University of Edinburgh for many years alongside Professors Trevarthen and Osborne and is contributor to the emerging field of Human Communicative Musicality.
One of the lead researchers in the 2006 NESTA 'new musical instrument for disabled children' project, he is now Creative Director at Skoogmusic Ltd. Skoogmusic Ltd is the brainchild of the NESTA project. Their first product, the Skoog, is in use in over 10% of SEN schools in the UK and the team is now creating technology to support mainstream music education.
