Panel discussions
Our panel discussions all include audience Q&A opportunities.
- Sessions focus on living with the National Plan for Music Education and the future of Community Music and we have a special panel chaired and led by young people (after all, they are the reason for holding an event like this in the first place).
Ministerial Welcome
We are delighted to welcome Ed Vaizey, Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries, as a guest speaker on the first day of the conference.
Keynote speakers
Jude Kelly is Artistic Director of Britain’s largest cultural institution, Southbank Centre, and former Chair of Culture and Education for London 2012.
Munira Mirza is responsible for advising the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, on his strategy for Youth and Culture in the capital.

James Frankel is an Adjunct Faculty member at Teachers College, Columbia University where he teaches courses on music technology.
Performances
We welcome the Sir John Cass Steel Orchestra and Tomorrow's Warriors Youth Jazz Orchestra who will be performing for conference delegates.
Delegate reception
We welcome all delegates to a drinks reception at 6pm on 12 March, generously sponsored by the Musicians' Union.
